MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Harmon–Robison Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Officer Allen Lee Harmon and Officer Otis Lee Robison, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on November 16, 1974, while protecting the Town of Lincoln and Talladega County. Their service and sacrifice are permanently memorialized along Alabama Highway 77 between the 74th and 75th mile markers, a tribute made possible through the efforts of Chief Darren Britton and the Lincoln Police Department.
This scholarship is intended to support high school seniors who aspire to serve their communities through careers in law enforcement, fire service, emergency services, or the United States military.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be:
High school seniors in public or private accredited schools in designated counties;
Planning to pursue postsecondary education in a public safety–related field;
Enrolling in an accredited postsecondary institution within the State of Alabama;
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, applicants must submit a complete application package that includes:
Completed Online Application
Official High School Transcript, including GPA and ACT score
Letter of Recommendation
Preferably from teachers, first responders, employers, or community leaders
Personal Essay (400–500 words) addressing:
Why you are interested in a career in public safety
How you have demonstrated service or leadership in your school or community
What this scholarship would mean to you and your future goals
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
All application materials must be submitted no later than:

One (1) scholarship will be awarded annually
Award Amount: $500.00
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s postsecondary institution upon proof of enrollment
