HARMON-ROBISON
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Dear High School Seniors In Calhoun, Clay, Cleburne, Randolph, Talladega, and St. Clair Counties:
My name is Walker, and I’m a 14-year-old entering the 8th grade at White Plains Middle School in Anniston, Alabama. I’m working on a special project that means a lot to me —the Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship Fund.
I started the Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship to honor two local police officers, Allen Lee Harmon and Otis Lee Robison, who were killed in the Line of Duty on November 16, 1974. After learning that my 7th grade English teacher was Officer Robison’s great-nephew, I felt inspired to find a way to keep their memory alive.
Each year, the scholarship will award $500.00 to a high school senior who plans to serve others. My long-term goal is to raise $100,000 so the scholarship can continue for many years. So far, I’ve raised over $10,200.00.
If you’re able to donate—even just $5, $10, or $25—it would mean the world to me. If not, simply sharing my project with others would also be a huge help. I’d also be happy to speak to your group or organization if you’d like to learn more.
Sincerely,
Walker Fetner
