MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors enrolled in public or private high schools located in Calhoun, Cleburne, Clay, Randolph, St. Clair, and Talladega Counties, Alabama. Applicants must plan to pursue higher education in the fields of public safety or healthcare.
The scholarship application will be available on this website beginning January 1, 2027. Applicants should carefully complete all sections of the application and submit all required supporting documents before the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Applicants must submit the following:
A completed scholarship application.
An official high school transcript.
A minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation.
A personal essay answering the following question:
"What would receiving the Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship mean to you?"
The scholarship award is $500.00. The amount may vary from year to year depending on available funding and donations.
Applications will be accepted from January 1 through March 31, 2027. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Recipients will be notified no later than April 30th each year. Award recipients may also be recognized during their school's academic awards program or at a community recognition event.
Applications are reviewed by the Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship Board based on the following criteria:
Academic achievement
Community involvement and volunteer service
Character and leadership
Quality and thoughtfulness of the required essay
No. At this time, the scholarship is available only to graduating high school seniors attending schools in the six eligible Alabama counties.
No. Because the scholarship is limited to graduating high school seniors, applicants are eligible to apply only once.
Officers Allen Lee Harmon and Otis Lee Robison were dedicated law enforcement officers with the Town of Lincoln Police Department who were tragically Killed In The Line of Duty on November 16, 1974. The Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor their sacrifice, preserve their legacy of service, and inspire future generations pursuing careers dedicated to serving others.
The Harmon-Robison Memorial Scholarship Fund is governed by a four-member Board of Directors with extensive experience in public service, leadership, and community involvement.

The Board of Directors is committed to awarding as many scholarships as funding responsibly allows. It is our hopes to awarded one scholarship per county once funding can support this concept.
